He specialises in comprehensive brain and spine surgery, including endovascular neurosurgery and minimally invasive techniques, using advanced image-guided, robotic, and endoscopic approaches. A graduate of the National University of Singapore (MBBS) with fellowships and training at world-leading institutions such as the Cleveland Clinic, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Dr Pillay has led innovation in neurosurgery in Singapore.
